Equipping for Ministry is a program of Houghton College which offers non-credit classes in fulfillment of the academic requirements for ordination, licensing, and commissioning within The Wesleyan Church. These classes may also be taken for personal enrichment. There is no application process required to take a class.
2020-21 classes will be held September 21-25, 2020 and May 17-21, 2021 and will be posted soon.
For students pursuing ordination, the classes offered with the Associates of Applied Sciences is an option.
Attend On Campus or Online
These are hybrid classes, with the option to attend in person at Houghton College (Houghton, NY) or to attend online via Zoom. In-person class location will be sent out at least 3 weeks in advance. Online link to join the class will be sent out at least 3 weeks in advance.
Cost Per Class
$200 including free housing for those taking the class in person*
* Housing provided in a college flat with a roommate.
Meals on Campus
$26.50/day for meals from Houghton College Dining Hall payable at the door
