March 4, 2024

Houghton University President, Wayne D. Lewis, Jr., will be the distinguished speaker at TeenPact Leadership Schools’ upcoming One Day State Class on April 26, 2024. This event aims to inspire and equip young Christian leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a positive impact in state government.

Having served as the Commissioner of Education for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and over twenty years in education, Lewis has already benefitted Houghton with his wealth of knowledge and experience. Recognizing his extensive experience in both education and politics, TeenPact invited Lewis to share his insights and wisdom with the students.

“Dr. Lewis mentioned that he had previously worked with in both the educational and political realm,” said Susan Humphrey, New York State Coordinator for TeenPact Leadership Schools. “Because of Dr. Lewis’ expertise within these two areas, we felt that he would be a wonderful addition as a speaker to our 2024 New York State Class program.”

TeenPact Leadership Schools and Houghton University are excited about the prospect of future collaborative partnership and the positive impact it will have on the students. The One Day State Class, featuring Lewis, promises to be an enlightening and empowering event for all attendees.
