My name is Molly, and I’m so happy to finally share my introductory blog post with you. I’ve been finishing the spring semester, and traveling around with my family, which has kept me pretty busy!
Starting this fall, I’ll be a sophomore at Houghton College. I’m a writing and communications major, and I’m also a member of the women’s field hockey team.
Trivia About Me
I’m so excited to share more about myself with you in upcoming posts on this blog, but to start, I’ll share some fun facts about myself:
- I was a competitive dancer for thirteen years, and I still love to tap.
- Ariana Grande tweeted me once!
- My first online piece of writing reached an audience of over 400 thousand people!
Why I Chose Houghton
I chose Houghton because, after touring it as a high school freshman when my brother was visiting his senior year, I felt at home as soon as I stepped on campus. God called me to Houghton, and this was confirmed by Him connecting me with Houghton’s field hockey coach and providing me with the opportunity of being in the Honors in London program!
I’ll be sharing more about my experience as a student athlete in my next post, including some tips for how to balance athletics and academics, so keep an eye out!
