New York State Scholarships for academic Excellence
Up to 2,000 scholarships of $1,500 are awarded each year to the top graduating scholar at each registered high school in New York State, with $1,500 and $500 scholarships awarded also to other outstanding students.
New York State Tuition Assistance Program
New York State’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) is a state-funded program for New York state residents. A recipient of this award must be a full-time matriculated student in an approved program at an approved New York state post-secondary institution. Grants are based on the New York net taxable income of the preceding year. This program is an entitlement program. Christian Ministries majors are ineligible for TAP according to NYS regulations.

NYS Math & Science Teaching Incentive Scholarship
The NYS Math & Science Teaching Incentive scholarship provides grants to eligible full-time undergraduate or graduate students in approved programs that lead to math or science teaching careers in secondary education.

NYS Get on Your Feet Loan Forgiveness Program
The NYS Get on Your Feet Loan Forgiveness Program provides up to 24 months of federal student loan debt relief to recent NYS college graduates who are participating in a federal income-driven repayment plan whose payments are generally capped at 10 percent of their discretionary income.
Financial Aid and Off-Campus Studies
Students participating in an off-campus studies semester with an affiliated host school will be able to retain their federal and state financial aid through Houghton College. If no formal agreement has been made between Houghton College and the host school, the aid will not be able to be processed by Houghton. Institutional aid may also be available for students after they complete an application process.
