Houghton College’s Worship Arts program allows you to dive deeper into the connection between music and worship. In this program you'll excel towards your professional aspirations while extending your gifts for God's glory.

Excellence in Music

Houghton have been an accredited member of NASM (National Association of Schools of Music), the principal U.S. accreditor for music in higher education, since 1947. In addition, enjoy top-notch facilities and study with distinguished faculty who have mastered their musical craft.

Flexible Electives

In addition to the core curriculum, this program has a system of flexible electives. Pursue courses in theology, biblical studies, and music technology based on your interests and desired career path.

Through Houghton’s Worship Arts program, develop into a well-rounded musician through:

Practical and Theoretical

Grow into a well-rounded musician by blending the practical and theoretical. Gain a deeper understanding of the how's and why's of various contemporary and traditional worship practices while developing your musicianship and leadership skills.

Hands-on Learning

Take classes that provide hands-on, practical experience in worship leading, including built-in junior and senior internships working with church worship leaders to hone your skills.

Christian Learning Community

Engage in a community that will challenge you to grow musically, intellectually, and spiritually.
