We're so glad you've chosen Houghton as the place to accelerate your God-given potential. There are a few important tasks to check off before you are ready. Please take a moment to review the following checklist. Each of these items are to be completed prior to your arrival to campus.
1) PICK...your housing preference and schedule

Select your first semester courses

2) PREPARE...your finances and health forms

Apply for Federal Aid
If you are a U.S. citizen, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and be sure to list Houghton' school code (002734).Complete Your FAFSA
Take action on health insurance
Review health insurance information and opt out of health insurance (if applicable) towards the end of June or soon as you receive your fall course schedule.Opt Out of HC Health Insurance
Submit your health forms

3) PAY...your bill

4) PACK...your vehicle
Sure. It will all fit! Get all your stuff together and head to the campus. We can’t wait to see you! Don’t forget to print a copy of that “You’re all set!” email. You’re also welcome to pull it up on your phone. Either way, we’ll need to see it. Once everything is complete, you’ll receive your own purple Houghton hammock!

Key milestones and when you can expect to hear from Houghton about different steps in the enrollment process.
May 1 (or soon after acceptance) - Confirm Enrollment
Confirm your enrollment and submit your enrollment deposit - before May 1 or soon after acceptance!
May 1 - Course Schedule
Students who confirmed enrollment by priority deadlines receive course schedules before or soon after May 1. All others on a rolling basis as you submit your Course Preference Form.
June 1 - Receive Notification of Housing Selection
If you have submitted your Housing Preference form (see above), you'll be notified your housing selection and roommate assignment.
Early July - Receive your Fall Bill
You will receive your Fall bill in early July - pay it by the deadline in early August so you can focus your attention on planning to arrive in Houghton!
Wednesday, August 25 - New Student Arrival and Move-In
