The application process to the School of Music includes a music application, two teacher recommendations, an audition registration, and a general Houghton College application. It is preferred that the application process be completed prior to a student’s date of audition.
- Students applying for entrance to the School of Music must also complete a general application to Houghton College. This general application must be completed prior to the audition date.

Auditions are scheduled at various points during the school year, and applications are due prior to your scheduled audition date. If you are unable to audition on any of the published dates, call the music office (585.567.9400) to arrange an alternative schedule.
When you schedule a visit to Houghton you may select the option to audition during your visit.
